PROMISE TO PROTECT, PROMISE TO HEAL
"Families need to know that the Church is making every effort to protect their children. They should also know that they have every right to turn to the Church with full confidence, for it is a safe and secure home. Consequently, priority must not be given to any other kind of concern, whatever its nature, such as the desire to avoid scandal, since there is absolutely no place in ministry for those who abuse minors." Pope Francis (2/2/2015)
Here at St. Andrew Parish and School we are committed to creating a safe environment for all men, women, and children. In accordance with Diocesan policy, we keep records, educate, obtain any needed background checks, and assist anyone in need of further information or help regarding our safe environment program.
Adult and Youth Volunteer Forms
All adult volunteers who will not be involved with ministry with minors must complete an Adult Volunteer Form. This form only needs to be completed once and will be kept on file at the parish. You can pick up a form from the office, ministry leader, or click here.
All youth volunteers (17 and under) must complete the Youth Volunteer Form. The youth volunteer is asked to review the Code of Conduct with his or her parents or guardians, and then complete the form. The Code of Conduct can be accessed here. You can pick up a form from the office, ministry leader, or click here.
Safe Environment Online Training
All volunteers and personnel who will be working with minors in any way must complete a background check and online training before they begin their work. This must be renewed every three years for as long as the person is a volunteer or is employed by the parish or school.
